IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM NCHMCT, Candidates seeking admission in BSC Hotel & Hospitality Management Course: Follow the following process:
1. Fill the google form for residual seats on website nchm.gov.in or via link Admission to 3 Year B.Sc. in "HHA" 2025 - Residual Seats
2. Candidates who fill the form till 8th May 2025 06:00 P.M will appear for Round 1 Entrance test on 11th May 2025 11:00 am to 12 noon
3. Candidates who fill the form between 8th May evening to 22nd May 2025 will appear for Round 2 Entrance test on 25th May 2025 2 pm to 3 pm. For this round the candidates can also fill the hardcopy of the form and submit physically at IHM Chandigarh.

Food Production, being one of the major departments of the Hotel Industry is involved with the production of food. Institute has various kitchens supervised by various Expert Chefs.
FRONT OFFICE
Front office is one of the core departments which come under rooms division of the hotel. It is the nerve centre which helps in creating first and lasting impression on the guest. This department helps in providing courteous.
Accommodation Operation
Hotel industry stands for one motto “Creating a home away from home”. Housekeeping department take immense pride in maintaining the utmost standard of cleanliness and hygiene
COMPUTER
The Institute has a well-equipped state-of-the-art Computer Lab which can accommodate at 40 students at a time. Individual PC stations help enable the faculty to focus on the learning outcomes of each student separately.

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of hotel management, catering and nutrition, Chandigarh was set up in the year 1990 in a Government Sarai Building Sector 32-A, which was provided by the Union Territory Administration, Chandigarh .
It is one of the 21 Central IHM’s setup by Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India and affiliated to NCHMCT TO Train young men and womens to provide manpower for the hospitality industry. The institute was shifted from Government Sarai Building to its own building at Sector 42-D, Chandigarh on. 16th September 1996. The new building of the Institute is situated among lush green surroundings of the Le Courbusier‘s City beautiful.
